Remote not syncing

Hello,

 

I've bought my wii 2 weeks ago, played on it an approximate of 3 hours in total.

Today i started playing wii tennis, while in the game the remote stops working, i have to click on A several times to get it up and running again.

after a few incidents like that (4 to be exact) it stopped working all together.

i've googled and went on nintendo.com where i've done the following:

 

1. Clicked on sync button while starting up wii console for 15 seconds.

2. clicked on sync in remote, and then hit the sync button in wii console and waited.

3. turned off and unplugged wii console from power and then did the steps above all over again.

 

Nothing happened in all trials..

any advice?

Updating a really old wii- Any Dangers?

I've had my wii since the original release, but it has sat unplayed for almost a decade now. The software version on it is 2.0U. I remember a few years back there was a big deal about Wiis getting bricked when upgrading to 4.2, even when they were unmodified. So, my question is- If I'm running 2.0U firmware what is my danger of upgrading to the latest? Should I just stay on my old version? What happens if this update bricks it?

 

Thoughts? Concerns? Comments?

My wiimote keeps turning off 1-3 seconds after sync. Tried everything, help!

I have purchased a new, bigger sensor, thinking that was the problem. Then, just to be sure, I traded the sensor I purchased for another one, and it still unsyncs. I now have a new wiimote, and there is still a problem. I have tried unsyncing-is it normal that there are no on-screen notifications?-all wiimotes, the resyncing. I have replaced battaries, and I have let the wiimote without power. I have also tried unplugging the wii itself, doing the same thing, and still, nothing. Is the problem in my wii itself?

Internet channel out of memory code 241000 on WII

Regarding a basic WII unit:  Yesterday, all was well and I was able to see live streaming news from wbtv.com and there were not issues popping up regarding "unrecognized certificates" or "out of memory messages (code 241000)".  This morning, the only programming change I made was to activate parental controls prior to trying the internet channel and experiencing this problem.  Now, I get both issues, and most pages on the internet load slowly and/or incompletely; the live stream from wbtv.com and another local tv site, wsoctv.com, fails showing just black in the video box.  Other sites tested also load slowly or incompletely.  Yesterday I did download a few extra channels, but that was prior to using the live stream from the above sites successfully.  So, this morning after observing this problem, I tried reloading, refreshing, and everything; I even erased four channels to free up memory, rebooted the WII and even tried to add  memory adapter in the front (not recognized as usable) and a memory stick in the back.  Nothing helped.  Please advise what to do for the internet channel (keep in mind all other channels such as Amazon Prime movies work fine; only the internet channel fails & get the bad certificate notices).  Thanks.

Wii - Troubleshooting Black Screen

m sure this question has been asked numerous times over.

 

I have a Wii (white version) about 2+ years old. I purchased it new. I have used it minimally over the past few years.

. Never attempted modding, or doing anything "illegal" to the system or memory.

 

I haven't had any issues up until now at all. Earlier in the week, I downloaded Netflix via the Nintendo eshop.

Everything seemed fine for the rest of that day. But, the next time I powered on, my Wii-motes wouldn't work, but I got the menu screen.

Tried to replace batteries, nothing was syncing. Turned the power off, and then immediately back on. Now, no warning (press A) screen even.

And then when I try to power on the system, all I get is black screen, everytime.

None of my Wii-motes will sync. I can hear the system running, and the lights all work. Games can be inserted and ejected no problem.

There was no power outages, or surges, or storms recently either.

 

I have tried to unplug the system, all cords, all accessories, etc, and then re-connect the system to a different wall outlet directly

after waiting 10, 20, 60 minutes. Nothing. All the cables are clean, and official Nintendo products.

 

I run my Wii on a newer model Sony LED TV, and don't think it is anything to do with the input or HD settings etc. Possibly?

 

 

Is there anything else I can do to attempt to fix, or Hard Reset the system? I really don't want to have to send away a system and

spend money for something I should be able to fix myself.. And considering the commonality of the problem, there should be an easy solution.

 

Is there something I am missing here? Can I access the Wii menu any other way? Would I be wasting my time to call Nintendo, just to ask

them what seems to be a very common issue?

 

I could bring it to a game repair shop to ask questions. (NOT have them attempt to do anything to the system) but..

 

Any help is greatly appreciated. I am very frustrated!!!

Problem Updating my System

Hello everybody, I'm having a bit of a problem with my wii. Currently, it is at version 4.1U, but I am trying to update it to 4.3U, but every time I try, it connects to the internet alright, but tries downloading for about half a second, then stops giving me error code 32007. I was wondering if this might be because of the network cutoff for wii a while back, or if it's something else. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

No picture on TV and Remotes not working...

I am wondering if anyone can offer advice on what to do. We turned on the Wii and there was no picture displaying on the TV screen. No new TV, nothing had changed. The green light did come on, and we could eject and insert discs.

 

After trying everything from the troubleshooting guide - checking setup, turning off, unplugging, turning back on - we still had the same problem. Now, however, when the power is off the light is red, where as before it was orange. Somehow the Wii connect 24 must have been turned off during our troubleshooting.

 

We even checked to make sure it wasn't the TV and plugged our DVD player into the same AV input sockets that we had the Wii in. The DVD player worked fine in this input.

 

I also noticed that the remotes won't sync with the Wii. The blue lights flash for a bit then stop. I tried re-syncing, but the same thing happened, the blue lights would flash for a bit and go out, it never synced.

 

Any idea what to do?

Not all of the controller working

My wireless controllers are not working properly, the +, -, and home buttons work. The controllers all sync, correct lights on. I've got two different consoles, two sensor bars, and five controllers(only one with Wii motion built in). No cursors and I can't select anything. I can navigate thru the main directory with the + and - buttons but that is it. I have tried every configuration between the consoles, controllers, and the sensor bars that can be done.

Wii does not seam to work properly! Help!

Hello! I have had my Wii for several years now. But when I got up this morning when I went to go turn it on it simply refused to work! So naturally I tried one of the methods of turning it on. I know that it automatically  turns on once you put a disk in it. So I tried that it accepted the disk  but it did non of the usual booting up procedures! So I thought, "maybe it's already on!" So I made sure sure that my TV was on the correct channel. Still not working! So I made sure that all the cables were plugged in. Still ok! So that's were I'm at a loss! Also, I am red green color blind so I can't tell what color the power light is so here is a picture:

Black and white screen

So I had my TV upstairs cause my mom wanted to use it for movies and such cause we recently moved and yeh... Anyways, i went to town and got a WII cause i used to have one and wanted it again. So i got it brought it home and all is fine. Theres color, sound everythings perfectly fine. That is until i bring my TV and WII downstairs in my room and hook everything up. It all hooked up and ready to go, i go to play and heres this black and white screen, Yay. So im wondering what i did wrong or whatever. Any help is apreciated

Wii Fit stuck at 1999 days

I see a few questions, but nothing approaching an answer - is there any way to make the Wii Fit record beyond 1,999 days, or better yet reset the days? It's annoying - I've been using mine (off and on) for far longer than that. And when I restart, I'd be much more likely to keep going if I could set it to record how long/how often I'd been using it _this_ series. Any advice? I suppose I could make a new Mii and start over entirely, but that means losing a lot of data as well.

Free wrist straps and jackets?

So I bought a wii a week ago, used, and it was really old, like the original owner bought it just after it came out in the US. It has 4 remotes, but no jackets and the wrist straps are the old kind. I saw stuff about nintendo offering jackets and the new wrist straps for free (about 8 years ago), but is that still going? I couldn't find anywhere on their support about it, and I'd rather not spend about $20 ordering the parts if I don't have to. I'm probably just being silly asking this, but I just wanted to find out if there was any hope.

Wii shop channel Mario Party 2

Since my Wii u came back from repair I have been able to re download all my Wii games except Mario Party 2 keeps giving me a no internet error. I have tried everything and have even waited months in between to try the download with no luck. I'm starting to think this an issue on Nintendos end. But I have no idea how to contact the people who run Wii shop channel. Phone support. Is no help!
